Welcome back to King's College, The British School of Alicante.


Thank you for entrusting King's College with the education of your child. King´s Group has been teaching children for over 40 years and we know that the first few hours and days of school are often quite stressful; not only for children, but also for you, their parents. For this reason we have a well-practised system for introducing you and your child to life at King's College and for welcoming back returning pupils and their parents.

This process, for most children, starts on 5th September (Wednesday) when your child joins or re-joins our school community. I would like to invite all new parents to a welcome reception on Thursday 6th September from 4.45pm – 6.00pm. There will be opportunities for all parents to meet with key staff during the following weeks as follows…  (All meetings are held from 4.45pm – 5.45pm):

  • Years 3 and 4 on 12th September (Gym)
  • Years 5 and 6 on 13th September (Gym)
  • Years 7 - 11 on 13th September (Sports Hall)
  • Years 12 and 13 on 13th September - including University Applications presentation (Library)
  • Year 1 on 17th September (Gym)
  • Year 2 on 18th September (Gym)
  • Reception classes on 20th September (Gym)
  • Nursery classes on 27th September (Gym)

Students in Year 12 will be required to attend a formal Sixth Form Enrolment Meeting on one of the following dates (as arranged): 24th and 27th of August. This will allow us to review GCSE grades, finalise courses and prepare the Sixth Form Code of Conduct Agreement.

In order to prepare pupils for an easy and stress-free introduction to school I advise you to make sure that your children start going to bed early during the last week of the school holiday. Please also ensure that your children have all the necessary equipment and uniform for starting school on Wednesday 5th September. The school shop will be open from the 22nd of August onwards.
