On to "A" Level 16 - 18
Access to the "AS" and "A" Level courses, Years 12 and 13, is normally only open to those students with at least five IGCSEs at grades A*-C. Grade B or above is normally required in the specific subjects students wish to study.
In their first year, our students take up to 5 subjects, as well as classes in , PE and PSE. There are examinations in all 4 chosen subjects at the end of both Year 12 and Year 13. Most students will also take "A" Level Spanish. Success in these examinations gives access to university education worldwide.
Spanish University Entrance
Pupils are also prepared for entry to Spanish universities, with the study of Lengua y Literatura Castellana, Lengua Valenciana, and a range of Complementary Studies in Spanish alongside the A Level subjects. These Complementary Studies vary each year according to the perceived needs of the students, but normally include Dibujo Técnico, Matemáticas, Ciencias, Filosofía, Historia del Arte and Historia del Mundo Contemporáneo.
